TheCollege of Engineering and Applied Scienceat theUniversity of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS)is seeking applications for a non-tenure track Instructor position in theDepartment of Computer Science. All areas of Computer Science are considered. The College of Engineering and Applied Science is nationally ranked and offers degrees at the Bachelors, Masters, and PhD levels. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses including cross-listed courses in the Computer Science Department as assigned by the Department Chair. The course load for an instructor/senior instructor is up to 30 credit hours (10 courses of 3 credit hours each) per academic year, but can be lowered if the instructor participates in other activities. The typical course load for an instructor is 80% teaching (24 credit hours) and 20% service.
Other activities include:
Curriculum development including the development of new courses.
Guiding undergraduate students in independent studies
Developing and teaching distance courses
Advising undergraduate majors
Participating in Departmental committees and meetings
Other as assigned by the Chair
