The University of Colorado Denver l Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applications for an Accountant I with Facilities Management – Finance & Administration. This full-time, University Staff (non-classified) positionprovides financial analysis and business operations support for Auxiliary and General Fund operations within the Facilities Management department. Responsibility for additional funds may be included as necessary. Areas supported may include: Finance and Administration, Building Maintenance & Operations, Building Services, Grounds, Mail, Printing Services Central Utility Plant, Parking and Transportation Services, Bookstore, Food Services and Facilities Projects or other related areas.
Examples of Work Performed:
Provide procurement support for Printing Services
Handle Cash Receipts/deposits and cash reconciliation - Printing Services, Mail Center and Food Trucks
Create JEs for Printing Services, Food Services and lost keys AR Accrual entry and reconciliation
Vendor invoice processing
Preparing monthly reports for Printing Services
Maintaining back-up documents for Printing Services
Verifying all batches are valid and each ticket got uploaded and went to correct speedtype
Miscellaneous invoice payments; such as Dry Ice, Verizon invoices, Eldorado Water and project invoices
Pay catering invoices and bill internal departments
Project management accounting duties as needed
Act as a back-up for other accountants as needed
PLEASENOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.
Salary and Benefits:
The hiring range for this position is $43,000 - $48,000 and is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is eligible for overtime compensation.

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
_Substitution:_A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
One (1) year of professional accounting experience.
Higher Education accounting experience
University of Colorado financial and reporting system experience
Intermediate MS Excel skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
